Product details

In working with groups, we choose how much information the group will cover in each session, depending on how much time the group will have and the needs of the group - most groups are from one hour to two and a half hours long. The best scenario is an ongoing group where we can spend as much time as the group needs and wants on each topic. If your group is limited to eight, twelve or fifteen sessions, we plan accordingly.
 


For instance, in a twelve session group, your topics could be as follows:
 

Group 1: Key Concepts in Recovery:

• Hope
• Responsibility
• Self-advocacy
• Education
 


Group 2: Developing and keeping a strong support system
 


Group 3: Issues that need to be addressed:

• exploring medical causes
• medication management
 


Group 4 + 5: Developing a WellnessToolbox Group 6: Daily Maintenance Plan
 


Group 7: Developing Action Plans

• triggers
• early warning signs
• when things are breaking down

Group 8 + 9: Crisis Planning


Group 10: Addressing Specific Issues

• trauma
• building self-esteem
 


Group 11: More specific issues

• suicide prevention
• changing negative thoughts to positive
 


Group 12: Developing a lifestyle that enhances wellness

• careers and interests
• benefits
• refining your lifestyle
